What is autoimmune?
The human body has many systems one being the immune system. This system helps us control positive and negative health reactions. It is primarily controlled by the nervous systems. This system controls all communications and assists in the up and down regulating of all chemical functions which includes information.
Autoimmune is the system over reacting to a request coming from the nervous system. In simple terms it is a system that has lost its ability to balance the information needed to control daily internal functions.
There is a belief that the body can attack itself during an autoimmune episode. Which can affect connective tissue (the tissue which binds together body tissues and organs). Autoimmune can affect your nerves, muscles, endocrine system (system that direct your body’s hormones and other chemicals) including the digestive system.
Many people inherit autoimmune and others create it. Autoimmune in most cases is reversible or at the least controllable.
Allergies and thyroid conditions are the 2 most common autoimmune conditions known. When dealing with autoimmune it is imperative to work with diet and environment.
