Conventional Wisdom

If everybody believes something, it's probably wrong. We call that Conventional Wisdom. In America, conventional wisdom that has mass acceptance is usually contrived: somebody paid for it.

Examples:

Pharmaceuticals restore health
Vaccination brings immunity
The cure for cancer is just around the corner (first stated by the media in 1971)
Menopause is a disease condition
When a child is sick, he needs immediate antibiotics
Hospitals are safe and clean.
America has the best health care in the world.
Americans have the best health in the world.
Milk is a good source of calcium.
Vitamin C is ascorbic acid.
Aspirin prevents heart attacks.
Heart drugs improve the heart.
Back and neck pain are the only reasons for spinal adjustment.
The purpose of the health care industry is health.
Cipro will prevent anthrax
No child can get into school without vaccinations
The FDA thoroughly tests all drugs before they go on the market
Pregnancy is a serious medical condition
Chemotherapy and radiation are effective cures for cancer
Does cancer really take our life or is it the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _?
When your child is diagnosed with an ear infection, antibiotics should be given immediately "just in case."
Ear tubes are for the good of the child.
Estrogen drugs prevent osteoporosis after menopause
Pediatricians are the most highly trained of all medical specialists
The purpose of the health care industry is health
HIV is the cause of AIDS
AZT is the cure
Without vaccines, infectious diseases would return.
Fluoride in the city water protects your teeth.Flu shots prevent the flu.
Vaccines are thoroughly tested before being placed on the Mandated Schedule
There is no cure or natural control for my disease.
The NASDAQ is a natural market controlled only by supply and demand
Chronic pain is a natural consequence of aging
Soy is your healthiest source of protein
Insulin shots cure diabetes
After we take out your gall balladder you can eat anything you want
Vaccines are safe now that all the mercury has been removed
Allergy medicine will cure allergies

All the above statements are myths. Fortunes have been spent to slam and re-slam them into the public's hard disk. Each can easily be proven false with just a little research, provided the student is determined to go wherever the data may lead.

Remember all documented disease statistic are a reflection of Western medicine only. There are no integrated health statistics on chronic disease available anywhere. So if there is a cure in Eastern medicine for any disease, the truth will be difficult for you to find. Healing*Edge Science maintains a data base of research from around the world. If the answers are out there, we will find them.

What are my Chances?

I have just been diagnosed with a serious disease, possibly deadly or a slow and painful deterioration. You are devastated, scared, worried, panicked and after awhile you become depressed. The doctor in a politically safe way gives you your options, which none of them sound comforting. The average person starts to try and figure out how they caught this condition. What most people do not know is that most conditions are created and can take 10 to 20 years to become clinical. You start hearing the sadistics and survival rate which in some cases are pretty good.

The part you are not told in the recurrence rate after the condition has gone into remission. The return rate of most diseases is 97% and when it returns it usually brings a back up supply of defense to not allow the body a second round of defeat. This is the brilliant intelligence of the human body. We alarm our homes and if the alarm is defeated we place a better alarm on our home next time.

What you never hear is the statistics of integrated natural treatments. Why? There is no system in place to record the success. So all of these success stories stays within the minds of the practitioners and patients.

Don't ever allow the bad new to discourage your immune system to fail. You may be one of the many that get great results with integrated medicine. -- Good Luck

A Normal Life - Tim O'Shea

Here is what a normal life should be like:
You're born. You get no drugs and no vaccinations. During childhood you have the usual illnesses, but conservative treatment gets you through them without antibiotics or drugs, and you build your natural immune defenses. You don't eat white sugar, white flour, too much meat or cheese, or drink soft drinks or pasteurized milk. You concentrate on whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and a clean, natural diet. You never learn to drink coffee or to smoke cigarettes.

The only pills you take are natural antioxidants and enzymes and minerals, which are part of your daily intake. You drink at least 1 liter of water every day. Into adulthood, you never get sick: no colds, no flu, no headaches, no diabetes, no ADD, no "thyroid problems," no panic attacks, growing pains, fatigue, or digestive disorders, no high blood pressure. The only pains you experience come from accidental injury. Perhaps you do moderate exercise or sports activity to maintain mobility and general fitness.

You look to the care of your spine. Your entire adulthood is spent in this disease-free mode. As you age, your mind gets sharper, your body gets stronger, and your immune system tougher. You experience no arthritis, cancer, or osteoporosis, no Parkinson's or Alzheimer's. Finally one day after 90 or 100 years, you flicker like a candle and go out.

The above paragraph may be useful in choosing a doctor. Some doctors will say all this is impossible; which for them is true. So don't choose them. All this is possible; moreover, thousands and thousands of people are living it. So listen only to those who can help you achieve such a condition of living health. Because now we've arrived at the threshold of a time when good health and a powerful immune system are not only advisable; they are the very determinants of survival.

You Create Your Own Experience

You are accountable for your life. Good or bad, successful or unsuccessful, happy or sad, fair or unfair, you own your life. Learn how to choose better so that you have better. If you don't accept accountability, you will misdiagnose every problem you have. If you misdiagnose, you will mistreat. If you mistreat, things won't get better, plain and simple. By convincing yourself that you are a victim, you are guaranteed to have no progress, no healing, no victory.

Have you ever

wondered why 68% of the population leaves the doctors office hearing there is nothing wrong with you? How about the 71% that are never cured. Why is this?
Stay tuned, the answers will be coming in the weeks to follow.

Controversy

on any treatment is already leaning toward failure. If you have to question a treatment because of positive or negative reports that you have read, you are contesting the success in your mind and have no choice but to view and expect the negative or failure. There would be no controversy if you viewed it as only a success. A failure for one is a success for another. History has shown us that all treatments have worked for someone at one time or another.

Part of all disease

If your mind thinks or is taught there is no cure for the Dis-ease, there will be no control or natural cure for the dis-ease. The mind is the most powerful part of the human body. Don't let history ruin the success of your choice of treatment.

The Rules for Being Human

You will receive a body. You may like or dislike it, but it will be yours for as long as you live. How you take care of it or fail to take care of it can make an enormous difference in the quality of your life.

You will learn lesions. You are enrolled in a full-time, informal school called life. Each day you will be presented with opportunities to learn what you need to know. The lessons presented are often completely different from those you think you need.

There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of experimentation, trial error. You can learn as much from failure as you can success. Maybe more..

A lesson is repeating until it is learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it (as evidenced by a change in your attitude and ultimately your behavior), you can go on to the next lesson.

Learning lessons does not end. There is no stage in life that does not contain some lessons. As long as you live there will be something to learn.

"There" is no better than "here". When your "there has become a "here" you will simply discover another "there" that will again look better than your "here". Don't be fooled by believing the unattainable is better than what you have.

Others are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects something you love or hate about yourself. When tempted to criticize others, ask yourself why you feel so strongly.

What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you create with those tools and resources is up to you. Remember that through desire, goal setting, and effort, you can have anything you want. Persistence is the key to success.

The answers lie within you. The solutions to all life's problems lie within your grasp. All you need to do is ask, look, listen, and trust.

Life is full of choices. What choice will you make today?

Stop the Rapist's

Not an easy read but important, and guys forward to your girlfriends, sisters and moms Through a Rapist's Eyes (No Joke)

A group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interviewed on what they look for in a potential victim and here are some interesting facts:

  • The first thing rapist look for in a potential victim is hairstyle. They are most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun, braid or other hairstyle that can easily be grabbed. They are also likely to go after a woman with long hair. Women with short hair are not common targets.
  • The second thing rapist look for is clothing. They will look for women whose clothing is easy to remove quickly. Many of them carry scissors around to cut clothing.
  • They also look for women on their cell phone, searching through their purse or doing other activities while walking because they are off guard and can be easily overpowered.
  • The time of day rapist are most likely to attack and rape a woman is in the early morning, between 5 and 8:30 a.m.
  • The number one place women are abducted from/attacked at is grocery store parking lots. Number two is office parking lots/garages. Number three is public restrooms.
  • The thing about these rapists is that they are looking to grab a woman and quickly move her to a second location where they don't have to worry about getting caught.
  • Only 2% said they carried weapons because rape carries a 3-5 year sentence but rape with a weapon is 15-20 years.
  • If you put up any kind of a fight at all, they get discouraged because it only takes a minute or two for them to realize that going after you isn't worth it because it will be time-consuming.
  • These rapist said they would not pick on women who have umbrellas, or other similar objects that can be used from a distance, in their hands. Keys are not a deterrent because you have to get really close to the attacker to use them as a weapon. So, the idea is to convince these guys you're not worth it.
  • Several defense mechanisms he taught us are: If someone is following behind you on a street or in a garage or with you in an elevator or stairwell, look them in the face and ask them a question, like what time is it, or make general small talk, I can't believe it is so cold out here, we're in for a bad winter. Now you've seen their face and could identify them in a lineup, you lose appeal as a target.
  • If someone is coming toward you, hold out your hands in front of you and yell Stop or Stay back! Most of the rapists this man talked to said they'd leave a woman alone if she yelled or showed that she would not be afraid to fight back.
  • Again, they are looking for an EASY target.
  • If you carry pepper spray (this instructor was a huge advocate of it and carries it with him wherever he goes,) yell! I HAVE PEPPER SPRAY and holding it out will be a deterrent.
  • If someone grabs you, you can't beat them with strength but you can by outsmarting them. If you are grabbed around the waist from behind, pinch the attacker either under the arm between the elbow and armpit or in the upper inner thigh -- HARD. One woman in a class this guy taught told him she used the underarm pinch on a guy who was trying to date rape her and was so upset she broke through the skin and tore out muscle strands - the guy needed stitches. Try pinching yourself in those places as hard as you can stand it; it hurts.
  • After the initial hit, always go for the groin. I know from a particularly unfortunate experience that if you slap a guy's parts it is extremely painful. You might think that you'll anger the guy and make him want to hurt you more, but the thing these rapists told our instructor is that they want a woman who will not cause a lot of trouble. Start causing trouble, and he's out of there.
  • When the guy puts his hands up to you, grab his first two fingers and bend them back as far as possible with as much pressure pushing down on them as possible. The instructor did it to me without using much pressure, and I ended up on my knees and both knuckles cracked audibly.
  • Of course the things we always hear still apply. Always be aware of your surroundings, take someone with you if you can and if you see any odd behavior, don't dismiss it, and go with your instincts. You may feel a little silly at the time, but you'd feel much worse if the guy really was trouble.
  • PLEASE READ THEN FORWARD THIS TO EVERY WOMAN YOU KNOW, its SIMPLE STUFF BUT IT COULD SAVE HER LIFE.
